Top 5 Most Popular Malaysian YouTubers

YouTube has became
one of the most popular and largest videos sharing platform which falls under
Google since it was founded in year 2005. Moreover, YouTube is no doubt one of
the most visited websites among Malaysians. The uprising of YouTube has
simultaneously brought up the number of YouTubers in Malaysia. We found the top
5 most famous Malaysian YouTubers based on the number of subscribers tracked by
Social Blade websites. With this, we only focused on the independent YouTube
star, not the mainstreaming YouTube channel such as TV3MALAYSIA official.
1. Namewee
Namewee has created his Youtube channel since
September 2006. He has a total of 1,421,489
subscribers and hit up to 528,827,349 views for his video channel. Before
he become an artist, he used to be a youtuber who consistently shares issues he
faced in daily life and also some self composed music videos. After gaining his
reputation through Youtube, he started to challenge himself in other career
such as film-making, talk show host, rapping and so on.

Lim Big Yong is a 19 years old boy from Sarawak, Malaysia who joined YouTube on January, 2009. Until today, he has cumulated around 939,098 subscribers and 205,413,382 views on his Lim Big Yong channel. His most well-known charater was Lim Pink Yong, a funny character where he dress a towel on his head and behave like a girl. He usually upload a lot of funny videos such as pranking his friends, self-acting, comparing Malaysia culture with others coutry and so on. Nevertheless, he often collaborate with his friends in making short movie on YouTube and has gained a magnificient respond from his subscibers. Today, he owns another YouTube channel “Lim Tai Yong” where he share his vlogs.

3. Lao Wu 老吴
Lao Wu is a gaming commentator from Penang, Malaysia and joined YouTube on Oct, 2011. He has around 938,663 subscribers and 289,812,022 views on his YouTube channel. He is a funny and creative gaming commentator among Malaysians where most of the gamers are familiar with his videos. With his funny talking style, his new games introductions and demo have attracted millions of views.

4. Jordan Yeoh fitness
Jordan Yeoh is a fitness coach who started his Youtube channel by sharing his work out contents since October, 2013. To date, he has 864,360 subscribers and 63,753,488 views on his channel. He also got a lot of award from his career and encourage people to lead a healthy lifestyle. “ Fitness is a gift of my life. I am blessed that I am able to share my gift to everyone here in this amazing platform” is a quote from Jordon, showing his passion in influencing fitness lifestyle to his viewers.

Started in 2011 Jin Lim (also known as Jinnyboy) and Reuben Kang has launched their Youtube channel “JinnyboyTV” and hit a success in producing funny and interesting short films. Their productions focuses mainly on everyday themes such as “ 9 annoying friends we hate” and “how to find your true love” which attract viewers attentions especially youngsters. Their channel has 831,874 subscribers and 133,455,770 views. Nevertheless, Jin Lim was also a radio DJ for hitz fm and Reuben was a host and lecturer.

Assalamualaikum and hye everyone, what a nice sharing Ah Ran. YouTube is actually one of my favorite application to watch videos. the first YouTubers that Ah Ran shared here is the only one YouTubers that I have known. There is one of Namawee's song that went viral and I like it as the song is so catchy. The title of the song is Tokyo Bon 2020 (Makudonarudo, All Eat Asia. This song tells about how Japanese speak in English and people in Japan called the language is Japanlish as the sentences mix Japan language and English language. ReplyDeleteHi, nowadays YouTube be a platform for those red people to share their "work" to share with their fans like Name wee, his often share his opinion on his talk show, Tokok, a channel which is funny. His movie like nasi lemak 2.0 is quite a success local product.

I have seen a lot of popular youtubers from another countries and I did not see that we also have our own Malaysian Youtubers that makes we proud as Malaysian.
