Nowadays in digital era almost all of human being engage
with technologies especially gadgets. We can see not only adults engage with
their gadget but also children. Because we are in digital era and we depends a
lot with these technology especially our gadget such as smartphone and laptop.
Because of this situation we decided to analyses the digital behaviour pattern
among University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) undergraduate student.
To understand the pattern we have done a survey that consist
two part. The first part of our questionnaire is about demographic. The
demographic part are important to understand the background of our respondent.
For the second part we have asking a question to know about the digital
behaviour pattern among the respondent. We manage to get 101 respondent from
UNIMAS to answer our questionnaire.
For the first question from demographic part which is part
A. We have got 57.4% females respondent and 42.6% male respondent. And most of
them which is 63.4% are a full time student and others are freelance, working
in daily basis and a part timer. And most of our respondent which is 80% are
single and others are married. Mostly the average of our respondent age is
20-22 years old which is 37.6% out of one hundred.
Fort Part B in our questionnaire, the first question we
asked the respondent are about how many devices did they own. And most of our
respondent have two smartphones which is 38.6% and shockingly 30.7% of the
respondent have three smartphones. The second question in Part B is we asked
about how much time they invested on surfing the internet daily and most of
them which is 34.7% surf the internet 5-7 hours per day. The third question is
what is the main motives for them to surf the internet and the results is 75.2%

in digital behaviour. Because of they are students they are more depends on

they noted that in this digital era any student at the higher level who intends

Tq janatul for the fimding sharing..yaaa i agree from the observation unimas student have a different pattern of digital behavior..due to different people have different priorities in using digital
ReplyDeletei agree that people nowadays can easy access to the source of entertainment like YouTube via their smartphone. Thus is not surprise that people have more than one gadgets. Besides, as for student, students can search what they need in their study as easy as search on google via their smartphone.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janatul on sharing this. I could not agree more for your points that each and everyone of us has different priorities in using digufal gadgets. For example, some may like to work via smartphone due to its convenience but I would still prefer working using my laptop or computer.
ReplyDeleteThis research has led me to know that different people have different ways of using their smartphone. Therefore, we cannot assume that everyone is using their phones for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteNowadays even universities requires students to mark their attendance by scanning the QR code with their smartphones. This shows how important electronic gadgets are to students. They need those for educational purposes, completing assignments and also communicating with their family and friends.
ReplyDeleteAll respondents have different pattern in digital behavior bacause they have differnt aims and reasons why they use it. For example for entertainment, education or for communication.
ReplyDeleteDifferent people have different digital behavior pattern. For example, like me I would like to search for my favorite artist's song, and entertainment news.
